Break.fast.

Quaker Oats Cookies, Muesli Bar and coffee.

What did you have for breakfast today? I am always on a rush every morning, so I usually eat breakfast (sometimes brunch) at the office. A cup of coffee&milo (yes, combined) is enough to last me until lunch, worst at times, dinner. But I always make it a point to have something to grab when my tummy's crying out for food. I have almonds to keep me company and make me feel full, and water that completes my day.

One advice for those who are on diet, never skip breakfast. A good hearty breakfast is needed for our brains and body to function properly. Eat on time, drink lots of water and laugh a lot. :) We can't afford to miss the many good things we can enjoy about life.

Have a happy Weekend! <3

Reward.

Fridays equate to love.

Tonight, on my way home, I decided to drop by McCafe to buy double chocolate frap for me and the boyfriend. I just thought it's right that I reward myself for the hard work for the past week. Yeeha!

I realized days pass by so fast. It seemed like just a few days ago when we celebrated CNY, and now it's just few more days before Feb bids goodbye. Wow. It dawned on me that 2 months have passed and I haven't even finalized a single thing for the big event come December. That tells me now I got 10 more months to prepare. Well that doesn't sound bad at all. Hmnn.

I hope you had a productive and happy week. If not, there's always next week to make it up. Happy Weekend loves! :)

It's a date!

It's a day after Valentines. So how did you spend your Valentines yesterday? Some of you might have gone to a date with your spouse, partner, friends or family. Some may have just gone to sleep. Some chose to celebrate, others chose to keep it a simple like an ordinary day.

We all have our own preference. I am not really a 'Valentines Day' fan, but I celebrate it in my little own ways. My boyfriend and I decided to keep it 'simple'. No flowers, no cakes. We decided to eat out and found ourselves queuing as it seemed like all restaurants were very crowded.

We had dinner at Hot tomato grill and ordered our all time favorite mixed grill - a combination of grilled pork and chicken, sausage and pasta. I truly enjoyed the night. We just spent our time laughing and thanking each other for the friendship and love we both enjoy.

Hope you had fun yesterday. In whatever way you celebrated it, I wish you enjoyed it. Life is a choice. :)

Let it rain some more.

I love rains. For some reasons, it makes me happy. I guess it has something to do with the freshness it brings, or the feeling of the wind that blows so cold. For one thing I know, the rains comfort a weary soul. Well in my case, yes. :)

On my way home the rain poured so hard. I stayed in the restroom for a few minutes to watch the rain as it falls and waters the place. Our office is in the 5th floor so I can see from above how trees and plants seem to dance with joy as the rain continually poured down. And it brought me so much joy. I allowed myself to savor that magical moment. It was love beyond the natural. Then I realized, God was speaking to me through the rain. His love was manifested through the cold air that brushed my face. His love brought me comfort. His love gave me peace.

If I may request, can it rain some more tonight, please?

Hello Weekend!

Yay me, it's weekend again! Everytime weekend comes I'm the happiest girl alive. I just love the thought of having the luxury to sleep extra hours in the morning. It's just so refreshing.

Weekend is also a time for me to clean the room, arrange the closet, do the laundry and cook! Tomorrow, I plan to cook for 'tinuwang isda'. This has become one of our faves - not just healthy, it's also yummy! "Tinuwang isda" is also very easy to cook. You just mix all the ingredients and let it boil - and there you have it. I'm gonna share the photos tomorrow.

Here are the ingredients of "tinuwang isda":

1. Fish (your preference, I prefer the head of a big fish)
2. 2 big Tomatoes
3. Spring Onions
4. long green pepper
5. Salt & Pepper to taste
6. Water

Mix all ingredients in a pot and let it boil.

And ta-dah! You have the "tinuwang isda", my version. :)

For now, I'm off to dreamland! xoxo

Are you up for a surprise?

I love surprises. I am talking about surprises that will make one blush in delight. But as I contemplate about it, I realized nobody has really taken time to surprise me (the way I want it). LOL. Now this thought came to mind because I was thinking of what to give as a present come Feb14. Well, yeah, I know we can always give gifts anytime, but that's beside the point. It always make us feel good when we are able to give something special to someone we love.

I went to the mall after work today to look for something I can give. I passed by various boutiques and stores, but didn't find a single thing that I like. So I have decided to create something unique, something I know the person I'd give it to would appreciate.

There are things we need to remind ourselves when talking about presents.
  1. Gifts need not be expensive. Practicality applies in gift-giving. Make sure it is something usable and long lasting.
  2. Gifts should tell or explain what words can't explain. What I mean by this is, let the gift express what your heart wants to say.
  3. The most important thing about gifts is the thoughtfulness. As they say, it's the thought that counts. Don't just give because you have to, give because you WANT to.
  4. Whatever gifts you have in mind, it would look great if it's nicely wrapped.
Note: It's not about the amount. It's about what's in your heart.

If someone would ask me what I want to receive, I'd say, a card with a personalized greeting will do. :)

Happy Giving! Let us not grow slack in showing our love to the people who matter in our lives. A small surprise will make a difference.
